X-Rated Kite Boardercross

Once again, Neil Hutchinson proves himself to be the most active promotor of kiteboarding in the state of Florida. On Saturday February 11th, 2006 Neil tossed together an unsponsored, unsanctioned, unofficial kite boardercross race on at Hobe Beach in the Key Biscayne area of Miami. Over 100 kites showed up on the beach with 29 registered competitors. The entry fee was a six pack of beer, winner take all. Couldn't have been a more perfect day. Billy Parker won the race and the beer. Congratulations to Billy and Neil Hutchinson for putting on a fun event (that was also a smart and safe one) and to all the kiters who showed up on the beach.
